What is Ilysia?

Ilysia is an upcoming VRMMORPG inspired by the old-school MMORPG era and built from the ground up specifically for VR. Embark on an expansive open world and explore hidden ruins and dungeons, seek out lost treasure, climb and fight massive titans, quest alone or alongside friends, and hone your skills in numerous professions!

When is Ilysia launching?

There is currently no set date for launch. This will be updated as we can safely announce a date.

Can I get a beta key?

Beta keys have been previously delivered to Pre-Kickstarter and Kickstarter backers, as well as those who bought access after the end of our alpha 2 stage. We will likely open up buy-ins for beta 1 in the near future, as well as running key giveaways!

Will the progress made in beta carry over to the full release?

No. Once Ilysia is fully launched, everyone will start anew. The alpha and beta phases are strictly for testing purposes only and collecting player feedback. Furthermore, it would not be fair to those who have not had a chance to partake in the testing stages.

Will Ilysia be pay-to-win?

No. We have a strict no pay-to-win policy - anything the player will be able to purchase with real currency will exclusively be for cosmetic purposes and will never give an advantage over other players.

What platforms is Ilysia releasing on?

Ilysia is set to release on PCVR, Quest 1 & 2, and PSVR.

Is the KAT Walk C compatible with Ilysia?

Yes. The KAT Walk C is automatically compatible with most games that feature smooth locomotion, and we've had players use it during our alpha.

Swimming: Dive into deep lagoons and swim underwater to find treasure, hidden caves, and aquatic enemies!

Titans & Guardians: Encounter gigantic creatures you can climb to find moving dungeons and exploration zones or even fight them!

Dungeons & Raids: Party up, or not if you’re brave enough, and fight your way through countless dungeons, taking on a myriad of enemies and bosses!

Combat: Swing a sword at your foes, strike them from afar with a bow or burn them to ashes with powerful magic!

Opt-in PvP: Fight other adventurers anywhere in the world who have also enabled PvP!

Rideable Mounts: Collect and ride a plethora of terrestrial and flying mounts to traverse the lands at higher speed!

Player Housing: Decorate, customize and invite friends to your own personal living space.

Caravan System: Customize and travel the world of Ilysia with your own personal caravan.

Crafting & Professions: Open your own business! Be a blacksmith, fisherman, traveling merchant, innkeeper or run your own tavern! Gather and craft items for other adventurers or give them a place to rest after a long journey.

Pets & Pet Battles: Capture and tame small creatures and have them fight alongside you or partake in pet battles with other adventurers!

Fast Travel: Take an airship or set sail on a boat to safely navigate in-between towns.

What is MagePortal?

https://mageportal.com/ is the account management system used by Ilysia and holds both account information and backer rewards.

Where are my Patreon rewards?

If you were a Silver, Gold, or Platinum patron, you will be receiving all of the respective Patreon rewards from the time you subscribed until the end of your subscription, once Ilysia is fully released. We are aware some of the rewards aren’t yet visible in your MagePortal account, but rest assured, they are still linked to your account, and you will receive them.

When was the Kickstarter?

We ran a Pre-Kickstarter campaign in March 2020 and our Kickstarter in September 2020.

What happened to the Patreon?
